Oceanside Plumber
A beach bungalow south of downtown on its original fittings. A newer inland house where the regulator has failed. A sewer line under a street laid before anyone alive can remember. All Star Plumbing is the Oceanside plumber across all forty two square miles of it, 60 minutes to the door, written price before any work.
- 60-minute response
- $0 service call
- Free written estimate before any work
- Licensed, family-owned since 2008
Worth saying: we do not work on boats, docks or harbor hookups, and pool equipment is outside what we do. Buildings are our work, supply, drains, sewer, water heaters, fixtures and gas lines.
How much does the age of an Oceanside house change the job?
More than in most places, because this city has a longer run of building than anywhere else we cover. It incorporated in 1888, so the oldest streets near the water carry housing from an era when plumbing was a different trade, while the inland edge was still being built out a few years ago. Forty two square miles, sixty seven thousand homes, and well over a century between the two ends of it.
Practically, that means the same call means different things in different parts of the city. Near the coast and south of downtown the stock is older beach bungalows, so the likely fault is an original fitting, a corroded shutoff or a supply line that has quietly narrowed. Out in the newer inland neighborhoods the pipe is sound and what fails is the shorter-lived parts: regulators, cartridges, angle stops and a first water heater reaching its end.
One thing applies everywhere. The city runs its own water utility and treats local brackish groundwater as part of the supply alongside imported water, so the blend reaching a given house is not identical across the city. That does not change a repair, it changes the maintenance interval, meaning how quickly scale builds in a heater and how often a cartridge needs replacing.

We had to call an emergency plumber today. This company was very nice, professional, and responsive. They didn’t even charge us for coming out, since we didn’t need any repairs right now. Looks like we may need some repairs soon though, and we plan to call this company.
John and son were awesome!! On time, thorough, respectful, and didn’t just solve the problem. They thoroughly cleaned the clogged pipe, explained what caused the problem, and advised how to avoid it in the future.
What a great guy, Nick Roque came by on short notice as my wife and I were afraid we had a major issue in our master bathroom. Quickly diagnosed the problem and calmed our concerns. Fixed the issue in seconds and even coached me on how to improve my home repairs when I do it myself. Will always call All Star for help when needed.
Do you cover the whole city or just the coast?
The whole city, all four ZIP codes, from the water out to the inland edge. It is a big city by area and the response target is the same 60 minutes wherever you are in it.
Do you charge to come out?
No. The visit and a visual assessment are $0, and a free written estimate comes before anything starts. Decline it and you owe nothing. A camera or a pressure test is a tools-out diagnosis, so it is billable and job-dependent, and the price is in the estimate before we run it.
My house is an older bungalow near the beach. What should I expect?
Expect the fault to be an original part rather than a modern one. Corroded shutoffs, supply lines that have narrowed from the inside, and fittings no longer made in that size. It usually changes how long a repair takes more than what the repair is, and the estimate accounts for it before we start.
The city runs its own water utility. Does that change anything for me?
Not the plumbing, but it changes the maintenance interval. Part of the supply is local brackish groundwater treated in the city rather than water imported from elsewhere, so the blend arriving at a given address is not identical across a city this size. Blend is what decides how fast scale builds in a heater and how often a cartridge needs changing.
Something is leaking in the street outside. Mine or the city's?
It depends which side of the property line the fault sits on. The lateral running from the house to the main belongs to the property, the main itself does not. Where it is not obvious we establish which before quoting, because starting work on a public main is a bill you should never receive.
How fast is the response overnight?
60 minutes, any hour, anywhere in the city. Emergency calls do not wait behind booked work, so a burst line at 3am gets a tech at 3am.
