Our lot is a couple of acres. Does that change an emergency?
Mostly it changes distance. The supply and sewer runs from the street to the house are long and buried, so a break can be farther from the fixtures and take more work to locate. It’s a good reason to know where your main and any secondary shutoffs are before you need them, and we bring the gear to find a buried failure.
I can't find my main shutoff. What do I do?
Call us first and dispatch will help you locate it. On a city connection it’s usually outside, on the wall nearest the street or at the meter, which closes with a meter key we carry. On a well, it’s at the pressure tank. Either way, don’t force a seized valve: cutting the pump or the meter is the safer stop.
The drain keeps backing up after I clear it. Why?
A clog that keeps returning means a plunger or store-bought cleaner isn’t removing the real cause: grease, roots, or a low spot in the line.
