What does plumbing look like in a city this small?
Solana Beach is three and a half square miles with around six and a half thousand homes, which makes it one of the smallest cities anywhere near here. It became a city in 1986, but the housing goes back a great deal further: La Colonia de Eden Gardens dates to the 1920s and is among the oldest residential ground in the area, while a good deal of the rest went up on the sandstone bluffs above the beach.

We shut the supply off and contain it before starting on the cause, because in a shared building the damage spreads faster than the diagnosis. Once it has stopped we find the source. If it turns out to sit in a shared wall or a line that is not yours, that is the point where your association needs to be involved, and we will say so plainly.

It means the house has almost certainly been replumbed at least once, and the useful question is which runs were done and when. Steel of that era closes up from the inside rather than dripping, so poor flow at one fixture is usually the pipe itself. We look at the oldest run before the wettest spot.
Parking on my street is tight. Does that matter?
Only for how long the job takes. On the narrow streets near the water the truck sometimes cannot get close, so gear is carried and a replacement runs longer than the same job on a wide street. Saying so when you call is often the difference between one visit and two.
Anything to do with the bluff, can you help?
No, and we will tell you straight away. Bluff stability and erosion are a geotechnical and engineering matter, not plumbing. If a plumbing fault is contributing to something on a bluff we will find and fix the plumbing, but the bluff itself is not our trade.
